Ex-N. Highline Chief will head Pullman F.D.

Scott LaVielle, former chief of the North Highline fire district where he served for 29 years, was named chief of the Pullman Fire Department Monday by Mayor Glenn Johnson. Pending approval from the Pullman City Council Jan. 10, LaVielle will begin duties as Pullman’s new chief Jan. 30.

LaVielle, who served as chief at North Highline from 2007 to 2010, was selected from among five finalists for the job left open by the resignation last August of Pat Wilkins who served as chief for 27 years.
