The Rosalia Chamber of Commerce announced the 2011 Christmas Lighting Contest winners this week. Grand prize winners are: Leland Root, Tree Theme; Glenn LaMoureaux, Use of Media; Jim Stenhouse, Best Display, and Joe Griffin, Use of Color.
Finalists were as follows:
Tree Theme: First - Jose Castanon, Second - John Hochney, Third - Ken Hames.
Use of Media: First - Phil Albert, Second - Dan Brown.
Best Display: First - Arlin Paulson, Second - Angie Trevino, Third - Chris Brown.
Use of Color: First - Lee Ticknor, Second - Gary Luckow, Third - Amanda Rich.
Business Displays: First - Pat’s Books, Second - AIA Insurance, Third - Bank of Fairfield, Fourth - Bothman Apartments.
Judges from the Eastern Washington University art department commented how the lighting displays represented the creativity and support of the community by the citizens. They praised the Chamber and Rosalia for the project.
Prize winners and those who entered the contest can stop in at Pittmann Town & Country in Rosalia to pick up their prizes.
