WSU SLATES 5-DAY BREAK

Washington State University last Tuesday announced plans for a six-day closure of buildings and non-essential operations for the week after Christmas. The move was suggested by WSU employees in response to a call for cost saving ideas for the university which has sustained budget cutbacks.

Three of the days will be paid holidays for Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Day. On the other two days, employees will take leave.

Campus human resources office has prepared a web site to address questions about leave, access and essential/non essential operations....
