Spartans, Wildcats move to top of SE campaign

A nail-biting finish and a milestone moment helped Rosalia’s girls continue their hot early season play over the weekend. Close Spartan wins over Tekoa/Oakesdale Friday on the Rosalia board and over St. John/Endicott Saturday at St. John left the Spartans 4-0 in the league race and tied with Colton on top of the pack before the Christmas break.

Friday night, the Spartans almost squandered a big fourth quarter lead, but hung on just enough to down Tekoa/Oakesdale 58-54 at home. Both teams went into the game with 2-0 league marks.
