Burglary suspect arrested

Douglas K. Fisher, 58, was arrested Dec. 20 by Colfax police after an investigation of reports of burglary of condominium units at Hill-Ray Plaza in Colfax. Officer Bryce Nebe said Fisher had been living at Hill-Ray. He was booked into jail on three probable charges of residential burglary and one probable charge of illegal possession of a firearm.

According to the investigation report filed with the court, Fisher was discovered in one of the units by the daughter of the owner who had come to visit her father who is now living at Whitman Health & Rehab.

A report by Nebe said none of the alleged burglaries involved forced entry.

Fisher was allowed release on his own recognizance in a first appearance in court Dec. 21. He told the court he would reside at Oakesdale.
