Applications for the master gardener training program and horticulture classes are now being accepted at the WSU Extension office. Classes will begin Jan. 17 and run through April 24. Classes will be each Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Clarkston Branch of Walla Walla Community College. Applications are due by Jan. 6.
Classes provide horticulture training, which is necessary to become a WSU Master Gardener volunteer in Whitman County. The 15 week course costs $150 with an additional fee for those planning on becoming master gardeners. Upon completion of program and internship, $70 of registration fee with be refunded. Some scholarships and fee waivers are available.
