Angel ornament tops recycle tree

Gavan Keogh of Pullman stands next to the recycling materials Christmas tree which is topped by the ornament he designed. He won the contest sponsored by the county’s Recycling and Waste Reduction department. Entrants submitted designs made from recycled materials for the top of a Christmas tree which had been assembled out of recycled pop cans. Keogh won a $50 gift certificate for his aluminum angel design. The Kincheloe family of Colfax won a $25 certificate for the people’s choice award. Both certificates were from Tri-State.
