Organizers in Palouse announced that Scott Thompson and Blue Highway will play music at the grand opening for the new Community Center Saturday, Jan. 14.
In addition, the original plan of a full breakfast has been simplified to doughnuts, muffins and coffee. The change was due to the kitchen not being ready to handle a full breakfast menu.
Grand opening events will run from 8 a.m. until midnight.
At 11 a.m. will be the dedication. The second-hand store Needful Things will be open in the lobby from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as an Open House takes place for the whole building with free refreshments.
From 8 p.m. to midnight, the over-21 event will feature Thompson and Blue Highway. Beer will be served by Paradise Creek Brewery with all proceeds going to the community center.
