Colfax girls mix in speed to move up standing

Colfax girls cranked up the defense and booked two more league wins over the weekend to remain in the hunt in the Bi-County league which starts a second round this week. The Bulldogs girls took wins at St. George’s and Mary Walker of Springdale to advance their league mark to 6-2.

After the first half at St. George’s Friday, the Bulldogs went on a defensive shutdown that allowed just 15 points over the last two quarters of the St. George’s game and the four quarters against the Chargers at Springdale Saturday night.
