Marker wranglers collect awards

Three Colfax youngsters received season-end awards at the 2011 Eastern Washington Rodeo banquet in Soap Lake Dec. 17.

At right, Callie-Rae Marker, 12, won the goat tying and placed second in the breakaway roping for the year.

She is pictured with queen Bailey Nachtigal.

Mackenzie Marker, 11, placed third in the goat tying and third in the breakaway roping for the year and is pictured with princess Courtney Nance.

Caden Marker, 7, was named the 2011 Reserve All Around Cowboy for the 6-8 year old boys and was also the All Around Cowboy for the Palouse River Ropers in 2011.

The All Around Cowboy award goes to the person who has the most points or awards for the entire year for all rodeos.

He is pictured with Princess Megan Axtman.

All children belong to J.D. and Valerie Marker of Colfax.

They have been involved in junior rodeo for four years.
