Porsche burns in shed blaze; owner questions department

Charred and blackened under the burnt beams and collapsed roof of a Colfax storage shed were four four-wheelers, a Model A hot rod, two boats, a trailer and a 1999 Porsche Carrera.

All were destroyed last Wednesday night by a three-hour fire which also destroyed the storage building off the Walla Walla Highway just west of Colfax. The hot fire was fueled by the contents of the vehicle tanks, and the long battle was hampered by its location which lacked hydrants.
