Colfax School board approved an adjustment in teachers’ contracts Monday night to offset a 1.9 percent pay cut mandated by the state legislature. The agreement gives Colfax teachers two extra personal days, which makes up for some of the state cut, the equivalent of three to four days of pay.
The across-the-board cut was instituted last year to counter state revenue cuts.
Colfax Education Association President Cary Cammack has been in negotiations with Supt. Michael Morgan since last fall.
