Nighthawks, Wildcats advance via different modes to district title tilt

Tekoa/Oakesdale girls out-battled Rosalia Friday night in the Spartans’ gym to get a shot at Colton’s undefeated Wildcats in the SE championship game Friday night at Endicott. The Nighthawks posted a 47-45 win with Cassy Mendoza hitting the winning basket inside of 10 seconds in front of a packed gym of roaring north end hoop fans.

Colton held true to form in the other semi round on their court with a 66-9 crush job on Garfield/Palouse.

Rosalia and Garfield/Palouse dropped into the consolation round Tuesday when the SE show started its three-day stand back at Endicott.
