Crop association will buy port site for office

The Washington Crop Improvement Association is planning to move its office from the WSU campus to the Port of Whitman County’s Pullman Industrial Park.

Debbie Snell, maintenance and operations manager for the port, said the association requested the property, which covers just less than one acre, for a site to build a new building.

Port commissioners declared the lot surplus, a prelude to sale, at their regular meeting last Thursday, Feb. 16. The lot is located at the west end of the industrial park’s loop road.
