A community blood drive will be today, Thursday, Feb. 23, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. in the Colfax Branch of Whitman County Library. Donors can call the library to schedule an appointment, but walk-ins are also welcome.

The 12th annual “Food for Fines” drive continues through Feb. 29 at all 14 Whitman County Library branches. Library users can exchange non-perishable food items for up to $10 in outstanding library fines. All food will be distributed to local food banks.

Meet the Artist will feature painter and steel sculptor Jennifer Rod at the Colfax Library March 1 at 7 p.m. Meet the Artist is co-sponsored by the Colfax Arts Council and the Friends of Whitman County Library.

Learn about the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with Randy Suess Wednesday, March 7, at 7 p.m. in the Colfax Library. Enjoy this interactive travelogue with lots of photos and stories from historic landmarks and biblical attractions.

Programs for young children continue each Thursday in the Colfax Library. Baby Time at 10:10 a.m., Toddler Time at 10:30 a.m. and Preschool Time at 11 a.m. Playful Learning takes place each Friday from 10-11:30 a.m. for all young children and those who care for them.
