Field day slated for jr. beef growers

UI and WSU extension will co-sponsor a youth beef field day Saturday, March 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lewiston Livestock Market. The event is for all 4H and FFA members and leaders who want to learn more about raising successful beef livestock projects that meet industry standards.

Local extension educators, veterinarians and successful livestock producers will speak on feeding steer and breeding project animals, health care issues, quality assurance, beef taste test panels and fitting and showing techniques.
