'Beer Goggles' donated to PPD

Pullman Kiwanis Club and the Associated Students of WSU have each donated $600 for the purchase of a Fatal Vision “Beer Goggles” kit to use in community education program by the Pullman Police Department. The kit will be used to simulate impairment caused by blood alcohol content. It can simulate impairment at distinct levels.

Pullman officers made approximately 135 presentations to students in 2010. Chief Gary Jenkins noted the goggles tool will help deliver a lesson to people of all ages about the misuse and abuse of alcohol and other drugs.
