North Palouse River meet set

A North Fork Palouse River information meeting will be hosted by Palouse Conservation District March 5 at 7 p.m. at the Palouse Community Center.

Items on the agenda include water quality and the Department of Ecology’s role in it; input from stakeholders on Conservation District direction, its activities and 2012 projects; an update on Whitman County Agricultural Conservation Practices survey and how to obtain cost-sharing for conservation projects.

Light refreshments will be provided. Landowners, livestock producers, local residents and anyone interested in the watershed are encouraged to attend.
