Officers of the Quad Cities Drug Task Force located more than 140 marijuana plants and growing equipment Feb. 29 when they executed a search warrant at a residence south of Pullman on the Johnson Road. Lindsay Staley, 30, was booked into jail here on probable felony charges of manufacturing marijuana and possession of an unregistered firearm noise suppresser.
According to Sheriff Brett Myers, agents found growing equipment and other paraphernalia in the residence.
The search warrant was obtained as part of an ongoing drug investigation. An arrest report filed in court reported officers found a rifle, shotgun and .45 pistol in the residence. They said the growing operation was in the basement where medical marijuana authorizations for the suspect, his wife and father were posted. The report said glass jars containing small amounts of marijuana and a digital scale were found in kitchen cabinets.
Staley made a first appearance in court March 1 and allowed pre-trial release on his own recognizance.
