More winter accidents

Two more accidents were investigated by state troopers Feb. 29 during winter driving conditions.

Anthony M. O’Neill, 45, Cheney, sustained a laceration when the 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck he was driving went off Highway 195 and rolled on its top 7.1 miles north of Colfax. O’Neill was driving south at 6:45 a.m. and lost control on the snow and ice-covered highway. He was transported by ambulance to Whitman Hospital.

Justin A. Krieger, 24, Pullman, lost control of a 2002 Chevrolet K1 pickup truck while driving northbound on Highway 27 about three miles south of Palouse at 9:50 a.m. According to the Washington State Patrol report, the truck went off the highway to the right and struck an embankment. The driver was not hurt.
