Chelsey Leinweber of Colfax and Buggy Startin of LaCrosse exchanged wedding vows Sept. 24, 2011, in an evening ceremony in the First Baptist Church family center in Colfax. The bride is the daughter of Mindy Stout of Colfax and Joe and Jill Leinweber of Steptoe. Startin is the son of Eric and Lois Startin of LaCrosse.
White gossamer ceiling drapes and chair covers and bows decorated the room. Candles and white rose petals lined the royal blue aisle runner. Lynn Nelson of Colfax officiated.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown with beaded bodice. The floor-length skirt featured pickups and beads that ended on the bottom of the skirt with a beautiful pattern matching the bodice. The back of the gown was lined with satin buttons and beads which led down to the cathedral train.
The bride wore her mother’s tiara with a simple veil and carried a full bouquet of white cala lilies accented with a white shoe tie satin bow.
Wes Hennigar of Colfax, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Krissi Wells of Colfax, friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. They wore royal blue strapless floor-length dresses with skirt pickups. Each carried white cala lilies.
Brandon Startin, brother of the groom from Airway Heights, was best man. Andy Hennigar of Colfax, brother-in-law of the bride and friend of the groom, was groomsman.
Flower girls were Harley and Riley Hennigar, nieces of the bride, and Jaydin Wells, friend of the bride. All are from Colfax. They wore white dresses with pickups in the skirts and carried royal blue flower buckets.
For the reception at the Palouse Empire Fair community building, white tulle hung from the ceiling. Tables clothes with royal blue runners were centered with hurricane lamps surrounded by votive candles.
Tyler Swanson from the Lewiston Valley was the DJ.
The newlyweds are now making their home in Colfax. The bride is employed at Huber Action Freight in Colfax. She graduated from Colfax High School in 2002 and from Glen Dow Academy of Hair Design in Spokane in 2003.
The groom is employed at Startin’s Repair in LaCrosse. He graduated from LaCrosse High School in 2004 and from Spokane Community College in 2006 with a degree in automotive technology.
