Hospital highlights: Athletic Training Program at WHMC

Erin Hopkins, who graduated from LaCrosse High School in 2003 and from EWU in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training education, started with WHMC and remains a valuable asset to our organization. She also became a Licensed Massage Practitioner in 2008.

While studying to become an athletic trainer, she interned with the Spokane Shock Arena Football team where she refined her skills to include activity preparation, injury evaluation, rehabilitation and injury referrals.

Now she provides the same attention to LaCrosse/Washtucna and Colfax high schools. Erin covers football home games for LaCrosse/Washtucna,and all sports for Colfax High School.

Erin’s athletic training knowledge is complemented by her massage therapy skills. She uses her smile and engaging personality to put her clients at ease while providing therapeutic massage.
