A Lamont Library town meeting will be at the Lamont Community building tonight, Thursday, March 8, at 7 p.m.
Allen and Diane Cook drove to Ritzville to watch grandson, Logan Miller, Kahlotus, participate in an FFA trap shoot at the Ritzville gun club.
Sandi Miller, Kahlotus, was an overnight guest of her parents, Allen and Diane Cook. She attended a class in Spokane Valley Friday.
Don and Sherrill Nelson attended the Christian youth theater performance of “Oklahoma” Sunday at the Spokane Bing Crosby Theater. Their 10 year old granddaughter, Kylie Nelson, was one of the 16 cast members.
Nancy and Eldon Wecker and their children Angie, Brent and wife Andrea of Boise arrived Saturday at the home of Nancy’s parents, Dan and Jean Stromberger to surprise them on their 65th wedding anniversary. Other family members joining were Bill, Janet, Tom, Tim and Arlene Stromberger. The guests arrived with lunch items and Janet made a beautiful anniversary cake.
Bill and Stella Melville celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Jan. 25 with a dinner with their family.
Beth Ann Engles and her mother Gerri Becker recently spent three days in Reno, Nev. They toured Virginia City, Carson City and Sparks, Nev.
Kathy Sheilds and Pat Peterson started Saturday afternoon with lunch at the Spokane Mustard Seed. Next they attended the Reardan High school girls basketball 2B championship game at 5 p.m. at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. Then it was off to see the Glen Campbell concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Northern Quest Casino.
Sprague Gun Club held their first annual money making raffle Sunday at the St. John Gun Club’s annual meat shoot. Holding the winning ticket for the Remmington .270 rifle was Pete Swannack of Lamont.
Art Swannack traveled to Denver Sunday for an executive board meeting of the American Sheep Industry association where they appointed the council and committee members for the upcoming year. Art was reappointed as chair of the Resource Management council covering public lands, predator and targeted grazing issues. He returned home Monday afternoon.
