Read Across America day at JES

Nichole Kopp, wearing the stovepipe hat made famous by the “Cat in the Hat,” helps Jennings Elementary students with the green eggs toss. From coast to coast, more than 45 million readers of all ages celebrated Read Across America Day. The Whitman County Library marked Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday with school and library programs, games, stories and appearances by the Reading Bear.
