'Sausage Central' totals 400 pounds

The Karen Broeckel residence was Sausage Central this past weekend. Twenty-one people gathered to make about 400 pounds of sausage and later to celebrate March birthdays. Participants included Oscar Broeckel, Brian and Angela Broeckel and Graham, Dusty; Cliff and Jeanette Nolan, Greg, Gwen and Jason Nolan, Colfax; Patty Wieber, Andrew Nolan and Khendra Fenstermacher, Spokane; Tom and Doreen Riedner, Genesee; Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma; Ken and Pam Beasley, Waitsburg; Austin Beasley, W.S.U., and Zach Beasley, Bremerton.

Karen Broeckel spent from March 1 thru 6 in Spokane, house and animal sitting for her sister while Gonzaga fans, Rick, Patty and Brett Wieber attended the WCC basketball tournament in Las Vegas. During the extended weekend, she attended the Craft Fair at the Spokane Fairgrounds, had Sunday morning brunch with her aunt Letty Spencer and toured the new home and had lunch with Carol Kyllo.

Art and Colene Sager drove to Meridian, Idaho, this past weekend to attend the 90th birthday celebration for Art’s aunt, Alma Sager. Seventy relatives attended a luncheon in her honor. An open house for friends and relatives to pay their respects followed.

The Sagers stayed with Art’s brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Linda Sager. They drove down Friday and returned home Sunday.

Mark and Angela Kennedy, directors of the ALACCA Bible Camp and four of their board members, were special guests, and some of them were speakers, at morning worship services at the Country Bible Church Sunday. A potluck lunch followed the services.
