Kent clears 10-6 in track opener

Gar/Pal/Colton track team, the lone small school competing in a big school lineup at the Lewiston Invitational Saturday, booked 13.5 points.

Jeff Kent placed second in the pole vault at 10-6, to tie his top mark which was set at state last year. Kent also tied for fourth in the 200, and placed eighth in the 100 sprint. Derrick Bosch placed 10th in the discus and 12th in the shotput, and Kevin Knauff placed 15th in the 1600. The VikCats will be at the Kamiah meet Saturday.
