New Bluegrass suit filings contest 20-cent bonus

Another round of filings in the Kentucky Blue Grass growers damage suit was logged March 14 in superior court. Seattle attorneys for Scotts Company LLC filed a motion for the court to drop a revised claim for damages filed against them by some of the growers.

The growers’ amended damage claims seek payment of an additional 20 cents per pound some of the growers have alleged due under a bonus provisions for seed produced in the 2009 and 2010 production years.
