Dusty B.B. Club met last Wednesday in the home of hostess Helen Appel. Joyce Appel was co-hostess. Wanda Alderman of Steptoe presented a program on Pysanda eggs, a Ukranian art form of decorating Easter eggs in intricate patterns using beeswax and successive dyes of different colors.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 10 for a tour of the wind turbines near Pomeroy and Dayton. Husbands and other guests are welcome.
Members are asked to call Rita Ackerman by April 6 if bringing guests to tell her how many will attend. People with pacemakers will not be allowed on the tour. Tourers also will be required to sign a disclaimer prior to the tour. Call Rita Ackerman or Dianne Appel for a copy. Wear sturdy shoes and a coat. A 90-minute presentation in Dayton will precede the tour. Meet at the Dusty Country Store to car pool at 8:30 a.m. April 10.
Lunch will follow at the Wineheart Cafe in Dayton, and officers for next year will be elected.
Larry and Di Brink were hosts for Sunday dinner in their home to celebrate the second birthday of granddaughter Ellie. Also in attendance were the guest of honor’s parents and siblings, Kevin and Amber Brink and Ashley, Kloey and Nicholas, Kennewick; uncle John Brink, Moscow; great-uncle Mike Stine, LaCrosse; and great uncle and aunt Lucky and Joan Myrick, Dusty.
Taste ‘n Tear 4-H club met Saturday in the home of leader Helen Appel. They sewed on their nightgown projects and had a pizza party. The twenty attendees included member’s siblings and two of Helen’s grandsons.
