Saturday, March 31, Grassville will play “in-your-face bluegrass” at the Dahmen Barn in Uniontown from 7:30 to 9:30. Admission will be $7 at the door. Grassville is a five members band from the North Idaho/Spokane area. Lead mandolin player, Michael Lee Hicks, is from the deep south and brings a musical background steeped in gospel and southern Appalachia. Don Saladin, banjo player, came from New York. Rounding out the group is Carolyn Wylie on guitar and vocals, Philip Brown on fiddle and Jim Pittman on bass.
The 16-member Hog Heaven Big Band will play at Dahmen Saturday, March 24, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Admission will be $8 for a couple, $5 for a single, children under 12 free.
