Rosalia Chamber of Commerce is looking for pictures of past Battle Days celebrations in town. They plan to use the pictures to display in a Battle Days collage. Copies of pictures can be mailed to the chamber at Box 132 in Rosalia. Contributors are asked to identify the people in the pictures and attempt to pinpoint the year of the celebration.
The Chamber and Commerce birthday calendars are ready and available for purchase at Pat’s Books. Cost is $5.
Rosalia girls basketball banquet was March 13. Briann Maley was named most valuable player, and Stacy Carrothers was named most improved. Tayler Nelson received the inspirational award and named defensive player of the year. Maley and Mackenzie Reddish were recognized for all-league honors.
Coach David St. John recognized varsity players Alex Naught, Shannon Carrothers, Haley Lindgren, Stacey Carrothers, Reddish, Maley, Hannah Sims, Maddy St. John, Nelson and Kristin Paulson.
Assistant Coach Sarah Brown recognized jayvee players Maggie Hereford, Sarah Fisher, Rayna Charles, Emily Stites, Alex Naught, Shannon Carrothers, Haley Lindgren and Stacey Carrothers.
Managers were Cassidi Bruce, Daphne Jacobs and Beau St. John.
The team grade average was 3.707.
Rosalia boys had their hoop banquet the previous night. Craig Nelson and Damian Loucks were recognized for all league honors.
Micah Pittsley was named defensive player of the year, and Grant Gelhaus received the coaches’ award.
