Friday, April 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. Vicki Broeckel will have an opening show of her paintings, “Palouse Reflections”, at Dodson’s Fine Jewelers and Gallery at 516 W. Riverside in Spokane. The show will continue through April.

Kim and Cindy Pitts had a house-full of guests this weekend. Children and grandchildren Jen and Ryan Hammons, Kellen, Becket and Willa, Boise; and Amanda and Erik Carlson, Rafe and Tate, Spokane, spent the weekend with them. Sunday, Cindy’s father, Norm Bafus of LaCrosse, joined them for dinner.

A week ago last Sunday, David and Phyllis Stueckle drove to Puyallup to stay with David’s brother and sister-in-law, Reuben and Judy Stueckle. They went on to spend three days at Ocean Shores. They also visited the wife of an old Navy buddy of David’s in Hoquiam. They spent Thursday night at the home of their daughter’s family, Karen and Larry Light and children. Granddaughter Emmaly Light performed with one of the choirs at Cleveland High School that evening. The Stueckles returned home Friday.

Tom Mays was guest speaker for morning worship services at the Country Bible Church.

Karen Broeckel, Dusty; Jason Nolan, Colfax; Patty Wieber and Andrew Nolan, Spokane, attended the Jeff Dunham “Controlled Chaos” performance in the Spokane Arena Sunday evening. Broeckel and Jason Nolan spent the night at the Wieber home. The next day, the four enjoyed a shopping spree at Cabella’s. This was an early birthday present for Jason.
