Pastor's Corner

We do not have choices in certain areas of our life such as : our I.Q., our race, our parents, our gender, our place of birth. All of these were decided for us before we were born.

We learn from Abraham some choices we can make. 1. Abraham made the big choice: He chose to follow God. As Abraham followed God, he was shown certain truths and principles that guided him in the choices he made. Abraham chose to be responsible.

2. Abraham chose to be loving, God like, in his choices. Many people are sensitive in looking out for their own rights! It is refreshing when we meet people who care how other people feel as well. Abraham chose to be humble in spirit. People were more important to Abraham than things. Have we learned the value of loving people and using things and not the other way around?

3. Abraham chose to continue to obey God. He believed that God knew best for him. It is through God that we have eternal life.

What or who is the foundation for your choices?
