Local grapplers join record rumble

Coaches Clayton Lord of Colfax, left, and Gary Newton of St. John led this crew of junor wrestlers to Spokane April 7 to participate in an attempt to set a world's record for most wrestling matches in a single day. They were among an anticipated 1,400 wrestlers in action on 18 mats at the Convention Center for the Jason Crawford Memorial meet. The record was certified by an agent from the Guinness Book of World Records.
