Wildcat girls survive two threats by TOR

Colton girls scratched out two wins Tuesday in a non-league county clash at the Wildcats’ field with Tekoa/Oakesdale/Rosalia.

The Wildcats scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to ward off defeat and then scored two more in the bottom of the extra eighth to pull out the first win, 6-5.

Carrie Hennigar was credited for the heroine hit, a walk-off RBI single, her lone rap of the day.

Colton booked 11 hits for the win with Erin Weber tagging a triple and Jenna Moser, Kaitlin Druffel and Meghan Heitstuman tagging doubles.

Mackenzie Reddish and Briann Maley each had two hits for TOR.
