Area schools named Washington Acheivement Award winners

Nine local schools were honored last week for their work in ensuring all students graduate with a full set of skills. Awards were presented in a ceremony in Spokane last Wednesday, April 25.

The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and the state Board of Education collaborate on the awards. They are based on the board’s achievement index, which focuses on improvemnet in student test data.
