A public reception to honor the Colfax banner artists will be tonight Thursday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in the Colfax Library. The 12 banner artists will be introduced to talk about their entries and the People’s Choices for the youth and adult divisions will be announced.

Artists in the youth division are Connor Johnson, Dylan Nails, Cal Lewis, Rosie Meyer, Ashely Richman and Kaetlyn Richman.

Artists in the adult division are Dick Gebhardt, Jerry Jones, Kathy Mayer, Tammy Lewis, Kimberly Morse and Claudia Rollins.

Cupcake Madness will come to the Colfax Library next Thursday, May 10, at 4 p.m. Teen Librarian Chelsea Leachman will preside.

A community blood drive is set for Tuesday, May 15, from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at the Colfax Library. Go to http://www.inbcsaves.org to make an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.

The Whitman County Library Board meeting set for Tuesday, May 15, has been canceled. The next regularly scheduled meeting is June 19.

All 14 branches of Whitman County Library will close Wednesday, May 16, for the annual all staff meeting. Materials will not be due that day and the library’s website services will still be available.
