"Quilts & Beyond" opens at Dahmen

Seven resident artists who make up Fiber Fusion will have work on display in the Hayloft Gallery at the Dahmen Barn May 6 through 27. The opening reception will be Sunday, May 6, from 1 to 4 p.m.

What originally brought the artists together was a common interest in exploring non-traditional quilting techniques. Wearable art, quilted art wall hangings, mobiles and fabric bowls make up a few of the items in the exhibit. The artists have incorporated everything from rare bird feathers to copper in the quilted art pieces and wearables.
