Step raises reality

I want to begin by saying that I am the wife of the grader operator out of the Colton shop in District #2. My husband and many of his co-workers have worked in their positions for many years. There is a very low turnover with these hard working guys.

I am so fed up with the continuous reference in the paper from the higher ups about these employees getting longevity (step) raises every 18 months. To quote Mr. Lothespeich “employees have gotten scheduled longevity raises of 3% for every 18 months they work at the same time elected officials have gone without raises”.
