Endicott library moves to city hall during project

In preparation for a complete remodel, the Endicott Branch of Whitman County Library is moving to the Endicott City Hall at 201 C Street. This temporary library location will begin operating Friday, May 11, with weekly hours remaining Tuesdays from 1-6 and Fridays 9-1.

With the United States Department of Agriculture, Inland Northwest Community Foundation, Avista and local contributions, $120,000 has been raised to remove harmful toxins, bring the library into ADA compliance and give the library a much needed facelift.

The town of Endicott is expected to place the project out for bid within the next month with an expected completion date of August. Castellaw Kom Architects from Lewiston designed the changes. They previously worked on the renovation of the Colfax Branch.

Internet access, a limited materials collection and programs such as Storytime, after-school programs and Summer Reading will continue during the duration of the project.
