Retzer gets award

Washington State Patrol Trooper Jim Retzer of Colfax received the WSP Officer of the Year award for District 4 from WSP Chief John Batiste in an awards ceremony May 10 at the WSP Academy in Shelton. Trooper Retzer was named for the district honor earlier in the year. The event included a fallen officer memorial for 27 troopers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
