Thornton Cemetery gets $750 grant from Northwest FCS

Thornton Cemetery Preservation Association has received $750 from the Northwest Farm Credit Services Rural Grant program. The grant will be used toward improving facilities at Thornton Cemetery, including a new water pump, storage tank and repairs to a tool shed.

The application was submitted in March 2012. Northwest Farm Credit Services received more than five times the usual number of applications from the rural communities they serve.
