A lot of the Colfax track success going into the last round at state qualifications centered on relays. At the league championship meet in Riverside last Tuesday, the Bulldogs won four of the five relay events with the boys marking up two records in their events.
The Riverside meet doubled up 1B and 2B elims for district seven. A total of 22 teams were in action for the girls and Colfax led the pack with 158-5 points.
Colfax boys placed seventh with Pomeroy, the lone 1B team out of the SE, taking the team win on 125 points. Two other 1B teams, Valley Christian and Columbia of Hunters, also stacked up more points than the 2B entries.
Reardan boys topped the Bi-County with 110, and Colfax finished with 95.5.
The Colfax 4 X 100 team of Alvin Li, Justin Berarducci, Sam Thompson and Austin Corean ripped a 45.31 to bump the 45.7 record set by Reardan
The 4 X 400 team of Berarducci, Justin Aucutt, Austin Corean, and Landon Willson booked a 3:37.36 to nip Davenport’s team. The Gorillas set the meet record last year at 3:40.2.

Saturday at Whitworth, the top three finishers get a ticket to the state B finals the following week at Eastern Washington University.
