Bringing forth a replacement to a salary structure they said was “not functional,” Whitman County’s classification committee brought commissioners a new pay plan Monday.
“I think it’s very reasonable, and I think it’s something that can be done,” said Sheriff Brett Myers, a member of the classification committee.
The plan would change how employees receive their regularly scheduled raises. It would also provide longevity raises for long-term workers.
