Flags, ceremony honor veterans at Colfax

A posting of veterans memorial flags and a ceremony conducted by the Colfax FFA chapter keyed the Memorial Day observance in Colfax Monday morning. The chapter this year posted 239 flags at the cemetery. The flags are donated by veteran’s families, and each flag is mounted with the respective veteran’s name and service branch. The collection increased by 10 flags this year. Veterans in attendance were assigned honor seats and gave a salute during the flag ceremony.
