It began with an interview in front of the Palouse school board.
They liked her, and she stayed for 38 years.
In 1974, Bev Fox was a new graduate of WSU trying for her first teaching job. The Rosalia native and daughter of the Buchholtz farm family got a call for an opening in Palouse.
She drove to the interview in a Ford Maverick her dad bought her and had to face the whole school board.
Since then she has stood in front of classes, teams, administrators and students in a 38-year career spanning teaching, coaching, principal and superintendent positions, all in Palouse/Garfield.
