Wargo competes as county's lone state tennis entry

LaCrosse/Washtucna senior Justin Wargo turned in Whitman County’s only entry in the state tennis championship last weekend at Yakima. Wargo lost his two matches in the 1B/2B/1A combo tourney at the Yakima Tennis Club, falling both times to 1A opponents.

Wargo fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 in his opening round match Friday to Trym Torvund of Overlake High School. Torvund went on to claim second in the tourney.
