Palouse issues call for swim team

Palouse swim team manager Kelly Dow issued a call this week for swim team recruits. Interested swimmers are urged to sign up at the pool June 19 at noon to register for the team and celebrate with popsicles. The practice schedule will begin the next day, June 20. Practices will be Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m.

Swim competitors must be able to swim the length of the pool, 25 yards.

The Palouse swimmers will combine with Garfield for a team entry in the county’s novice league. An all-league meeting has been set at Colfax June 30 to start the season. The run will conclude with the Jerry Cluckey Memorial meet at Colfax Saturday, Aug. 4.
