Band books many stops for summer

Community Band of the Palouse, formerly Pullman Community Band, has booked another busy summer concert schedule for the summer. They will be at the Moscow Farmer’s market next Saturday and plan their three-stop celebration of the Fourth of July at Johnson.

Band members now include residents of Pullman, Moscow, Albion, Palouse and Elk River, Idaho. Musicians from Colfax, Colton/Uniontown, Troy, Deary, Genessee and Potlatch are welcome to join the band which has a 40-year legacy in the region.

A smaller component, Auf Gehts German Band, performs at many local festivals, including the Palouse Empire Fair.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Pullman High School band room, up to July 10 and resuming in August, date

June 30- Moscow Farmer’s Market, band 9:30 a.m. Auf Gehts, 10:30 a.m.

July 4 -Johnson Parade, 10 a.m .; Albion Parade, noon; Sunnyside Park at Pullman, 5:30 p.m.

July 8- Palouse Ice Cream Social, July 8, noon -2 p.m., with Auf Gehts

July 11-Reaney Park, Pullman, , 6-7:30 p.m., band and Auf Gehts
