Three area hospitals among 'most wired'

Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax and Pullman Regional Hospital are two of 16 hospitals using health information technology services from Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS) which have again earned the distinction of being among the most technologically-advanced hospitals in the country.

The facilities were named by Hospitals and Health networks magazine.

Gritman Hospital in Moscow was also named to the list, which includes more than 200 hospitals nationwide.

“Hospitals in our region continue to utilize health information technology solutions to improve patient care and clinical outcomes,” said Fred Galusha, chief information officer of INHS. “Having access to clinical data improves quality, reduces medical errors and avoids unnecessary duplication of services, all of which lower costs.”

INHS, based in Spokane, provides health information technology solutions to hospitals, healthcare facilities and physician offices throughout the region, allowing healthcare providers to securely access critical patient information.
