Uniontown lands $25,000 NEA grant

The National Endowment for the Arts has announced the award of a $25,000 Our Town creative place-making grant to Uniontown Community Development Association (UCDA) for its work in enhancing the identity of Uniontown.

It was the first time the UCDA applied for the grant, which was submitted in February.

Uniontown was among 80 recipients of the award in 44 states.

“We did it partly just for fun,” said UCDA President Dale Miller. “We didn’t think our little town would have any chance in the world. So we’re quite pleased it came through.”
